Tarrytown is a village in the town of Greenburgh in Westchester County located on the eastern bank of the Hudson River. At the 2000 census the population was 11,090. Harmonizing serenity with convenience, Tarrytown is just 40 minutes from midtown Manhattan via express train. This legendary and very beautiful village boasts several landmarks including Marymount campus of Fordham University, Lyndhurst, a Gothic Revival mansion formerly owned by Jay Gould, Sunnyside, the historic home of author Washington Irving, and Tarrytown Music Hall, one of the oldest surviving theatres in Westchester County.
